Superstar Dev, portrays the role of the super sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi for the first time on screen with “Byomkesh O Durgo Rahasya”. Rukmini Maitra portrays the role of Satyabati and Ambarish Mukherjee will be seen as Ajit. The other cast members include Rajatava Dutta, Shantilal Mukherjee & Debesh Chattopadhyay amongst others. The film is directed by Birsa Dasgupta and jointly produced by Shadow Fillms & Dev Entertainment Ventures, showcasing their commitment to delivering a high-quality cinematic experience.

“Byomkesh O Durgo Rahasya” is the 12% Byomkesh novel written by Saradindu Bandyopadhyay and published in 1952. In this riveting tale, Byomkesh, accompanied by his trusted ally Ajit, finds himself entangled in the investigation of the untimely demise of Professor Ishan Chandra Majumder, believed to be caused by a snake bite. Teaming up with DSP Purandar Pandey, Byomkesh sets out to find the secrets surrounding Ramkishore, a buried treasure hidden within his ancestral hilltop fort and the series of unnatural deaths in Singha family. Byomkesh navigates through a web of perplexing incidents, each marked by an unnatural death. Are these deaths mere accidents, or are they part of a sinister plot? Byomkesh’s quest for truth and justice will test his wit and determination like never before.

The Screenplay and Dialogues have been penned by Subhendu Dasmunshi, while the Cinematography is by Subhankar Bhar. The Editing is by Sumit Chowdhury and Music & Background Score is by Diptarka Bose. Saswati Karmakar and Mridul Baidya are in charge of the production design,and Costume is by Jayanti Sen. Shaket Banerjee is the Associate Director while Sarathi Guha is the Associate Producer and Sayak Khan is the Executive Producer.
