BE, Durgapur ::: DSP DAY was observed at Durgapur Steel Plant on 24th April, 2023. On this day in the year 1960, the first ingot was cast from liquid steel at DSP. Since then every year 24th April is being observed as DSP DAY. This is a memorable day for DSP. During the program senior officials and other sections of employees of the plant including Union Forum members and members of the Officers Association etc. paid homage to the departed souls, who sacrificed their lives for DSP at the Workers’ Memorial at I-Sector Rotary in the steel township. The program started with a moment of silence being observed for the departed souls after which floral tributes were paid at the Memorial by senior officials and cross-section of the employees.
