Bengal Editor :: Water shortage and water contamination are among the most serious problems faced by India. As per UN report Coming days whole of our Civilization as well as a major part of our world will face the drinking water shortage. Keeping this in mind all of our respected Scientists are working to make more and more pocket friendly drinking water purifying technology for our society.
Looking this aspect CSIR CMERI Durgapur recently developed bouquet of water purifying technologies, to ensure provision of clean water to all. Ground water of majority in Indian States is mostly affected by one of Arsenic, Fluoride or iron contamination. CSIR CMERI has developed filters which removes unnecessary Irons, Fluoride, and Arsenic individually or combination of any of those. Three categories of filter are developed liked “Domestic Use’ secondly “Community Use” and thirdly “High Flow rate “use.
Briefing on this CSIR CMERI Director Mr. Harish Hirani says before the media that the philosophy of the CSIR CMERI developed filters is strict adherence to Indian Standards (BIS) and low pricing for enhancing the acceptability of the technology by MSME and other stakeholders. He also mention that easy operation and negligible maintenances are the key features of these filters.
CSIR CMERI recently handed over these new Water Purifying technologies for Commercial production towards M/s TECHNOCHEM, Barasat, for “High Flow Rate” , Secondly M/s ZENITH AQUATECH, Shibpur , Howrah for Domestic Iron Water Filter and Domestic Fluoride Arsenic& Iron Removal (FAIR) filter and lastly of M/s HES WATER ENGINEERS (INDIA) Pvt. Ltd, Nagpur, for High flow rate Fluoride & Iron removal Filter.
Speaking to the media Mr, Sourav Ganguly Owner of Zenith Aquatech says that they are very pride to associate with CSIR CMERI on this very sensitive as well as most Valuable project for the entire mankind. They will try to bring the product as early as within 3 to 4 months in the market for end subscribers followed by pocket friendly prices on this Domestic Water purifying product which technologies, they got from CSIR CMERI Durgapur unit.
