Recently various social media have reported that a tropical cyclone is likely to form over Bay of Bengal around end of the March / 1st week of April 2021 and it will severely impact West Bengal like Super Cyclone AMPHAN.
But as per DPRDO Paschim Bardhaman, IMD Kolkata clarifies that this is a Fake News and as of now there is NO possibility of hitting of tropical cyclone in West Bengal during next 10 days. He also mentioned that any information of Tropical Cyclone over Bay of Bengal and it’s impact (if any) over West Bengal will be intimated well in advance through all available communication channels like website, press realease, e-mail and different social media
